I have problems with msn and explorer. every program operating with internet works except for msn which doesn't work at all (browser can't connect blabla) and internet explorer goes to a website if "it feels like" within 5 min instead of in 2 seconds, it freezes once in a while and so on, problems with those two, I tried everything from reinstalling to the options and I'm desperate ...can someone help me please?

katleentje, when you say every 'program' works with the internet except 'msn', do you mean that when you use your MSN 'browser', you cannot connect to the internet? But your IE6 'browser' will?
I use to have MSN as my ISP, and every time I tried to use my MSN8, it would not connect. I opened my IE6 and clicked on Tools\Internet options\Programs\ then put a check mark in the box next to "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser". Then on the Connections tab I highlighted my Dial up connections and put a check in "Never Dial a Connection". That way I could just click on my Dial up connection shortcut for MSN whenever I wanted to use the internet. Once I was connected the MSN explorer would appear, and then I could use my IE explorer. This worked for ME.
I spent many hours with MSN tech support on this. Also my modem (some of us still have to use dial-up) would always never connect better than 24.4....they were kind enough to give me an AT string that fixed that problem.
