1. Is it possible to change the folder icons in Windows Explorer. How?

2. Is it possible to have two different folder icons in Windows Explorer at the same time.

A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.

1. Yes - there is freeware out there called "resource hacker" which allows you to change the bitmap files within .DLL's ... don't remember which DLL that folder icon is in, but it could be shell32.dll within winnt\system32

2. Not likely, unless you program a custom explorer shell..

Good luck!

If you use the right-click 'customize' option, you can have as many folder as you want......

But, you need to increase the XP default for "remembering" folder customizations if your folders grow great than 400 total (the default).

You could do this directly through the registry, but the 'newish' Microsft freeware Powertoy Tweakui is a safer bet:
Increase your "Folder Customization" setting to 800 or better.
