Explorer.exe errors 1

My brothers computer has a problem...anytime he opens
anything that uses the explorer (i.e. my computer,
explorer, search) and selects one file, explorer locks up
and says its not responding. After ending task 3 or 4
times, it says "Explorer.exe has generated errors and will
be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created." In the Dr Watson log, nothing with explorer.exe appears.
I am just wondering what is corrupt that is causing this

correction, it gives no error, it just hangs and has to be ended, then auto reboots.

Solved my own problem, it was an error in media player anytime it was trying to show in the preview pane, it locked it.

Infact error starts happening only after I used Media player

What should I do with regard to media player to solve this problem ?
