Is it possible to have an explorer window in a form so you can navigate local drives and folders and open files from clicking on it?

Why not just use common file dialogs to select your files? Search Access VBA help for FileDialog object.

Something like this ?
Application.FollowHyperlink "C:\"

Hope This Helps, PH.
