Hi all<br><br>I'm creating a website using cold fusion, the people whom I'm creating this site ain't that good, I'm affraied they won't pay me, so I was thinking if there is a way to let the website shut down after a month if they didn't pay me.<br><br>with much of respect <br>

ColdFusion comes with CFCRYPT for encrypting your pages, so you could simply code a date check into your application.cfm page, or CFINCLUDE another template into all your pages, and CFCRYPT them.<br>ColdFusion does not come with any method of decrypting the pages, so if your the only one with the source code and they don't pay you, they are stuffed.<br><br>Make sure the application.cfm or the included pages also contain other important code, without which the pages wont work, otherwise someone maybe be smart enough to just replace the files they think are the cause.<br> <p>Russ Michaels<br><a href=mailto:russ@satachi.com>russ@satachi.com</a><br><a href=

Dear Russ<br>thanks alot for your help, frankly I didn't know about that, and I'm gonna use that in all my future projects.<br>but those people don't know nothing about cf files, so I'm not worried if they're gonna steal the code or not.<br>so I want some way that really shuts down the system, so no one would be able to visit their website, until they pay me the last payment and then I'll fix it.<br>with much of respect<br><br>

you could try to program a task in the cf admin that would encrypt all of your files, and replace the application.cfm with an empty file or something<br>
