Expansion Cabinet As Main

We deinstalled 1 expansion cabinet from our Opt11c switch. I'm wondering if we can use the expansion cabinet as the main cabinet for another site.

i've been told you could not by an eng.. it is a diff part number.. but i have not tried it myself.

even if nortel told me i couldn't use it, i would slip in an ssc and see what smokes

That can be used as either.
