Exmerge not working on some workstations

I have a strange question for this board.

We have 4 people that use exmerge for our terminated users. I have installed it on their workstations and it does not work, even when I log on, but they can come to my laptop and login with their AD account and it works. Any ideas? The message it gives is:

Error encountered getting mailbox information from the private information store database(s) on server: XXXYYYZZZ. Make sure you have adequate permissions on the information store object. Please refer to the C:\Exmerge\exmerge.log file for more information.

That log file says the same this as above.

Exmerge requires the DLL's of a MAPI client like Outlook. I'm not sure if it requires the exchange tools though...

exmerge works fine when installed as part of the Exchange tools.
