Hi,

I have to do the followings using INFA 6.2 mappings / work flows.
There is no Unix shell scripts as we are working on Windows.

Need to look into the source directory in network for certain set of files, if any one or more of those files is/are found then I need to make an entry in my Oracle table stating that "File available."

Network directory path and name are available, INFA has access to that File Server. File Names are known. There is off course access to Oracle target table.

Thanks.

Load contence of files to an intermediate target. (For instance, add sequence-generator within each mapping and just write the seq.key 1 to the intermediate table.)

If one or more of the files exist, the intermediate table will contain one or more values of 1.

Use seperate mapping to select the distinct value of the intermediate table (this will either net you one row, or none at all) Use transformation to write the 'File available' to the ultimate target.

You can probably think of modifications to suit your needs....
