Hi all

I'm using MS Access and FP to display some ASP pages and wanted one of the fields to automatically open an application and a file within that application.

The code I am using is this:

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Agile/AgileCM/AgileCM.exe;%20ECO154017.agm

The "ECO154017" is generated within FP using the "Hyperlink Properties" and "Parameters" options.

However, I am unable to get it to open the default application for AGM file extensions.

Can anyone help with this...?

The client would have to have that extension linked to the target application on their machine in order for that to work. One option might be to try and use WScript and WShell objects (client-0side VBScript) to run the application, but that could easily be blocked by firewall/virus protection as well as ActiveX security settings in the browser.

Thanks mate.

The client has the extension associated and the application installed.

Still though, I can't get the link to work. I think my syntax is incorrect.
