Hello,
Is there a way to execute only a specific step from a job without executing the other steps.
Thanks

You could write a stored procedure which covers all the steps that are supposed to run orderly.
And ....only run one single stored procedure statement!

If you are running SQL 2K (client tools) you can open up the job, right click the step you want and use Execute Step. I think that would be the only way from DTS. Also I dont think the execute step option is available in the DTS with SQL 7

You can do what MaffewW suggests in DTS but it sounds like you are talking about SQL Server Agent jobs.

You can't just go in and run a single step in jobs. You could move the step to the bottom of the list and set it as the start step.
