Exclusive mode

I'm having a small problem with a database. This database can be used by more than one person and only one of my coworkers is experiencing the problem. The problem is, when I'm in the database exclusively, she can't open the database at all (not even for shared use). However, everyone else can open for shared use. Is there some option that she needs to check?

If you've opened the database exclusively then nobody should be able to open it at all.....
