Im trying to use this gpo setting to exclude a directory which I want to store a .pst file in. The thing is, whatevere i create it as, it seems to ignore it and still roam with the profile

It says in the explanation that if you enable, you can add additional folders, so i created a folder called outlook, placed the .pst into it, made the gpo setting, but it still works

ive even tried moving it to folders like application data and excluding that, but still no joy

Can anyone help

Andy

Set the users home folder to \\homeserver\users\%username%

Users needs to be a share set to all.

Set profile path to \\homeserver\users\%username%\profile

Then put the PSTs in the home folder NOT the profile folder. This stops it being copied over the network, secures their home data and secures their profile in their user folder.

The GPO actually makes a settings change in the local registry. I've excluded quite a few more than default.
