After rebooting from some os hot-fixes, the store will not start up. I'm running Exchange 5.5 SP4 on Windows 2000AS. The message that I get is a message box displaying:
Store.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x6fede406" referenced memory at "0x034bfe65". The memory could not be "read".
When I try to start it manually, the message comes up immediately. I have backed out the hot-fixes that was installed, I have reapplied SP4 on Exchange, reapplied Windows 2000 SP3, and still get the message. Has anyone run across this before? I'd like to fix this vs having to restore. I would also like to figure out if this is a database issue or a program issue.
It does log an Event ID 4097 source DrWatson.
Description: "The application, store.exe, generated an application error. The error occurred on 02/12/2003 @
10:45:00.226. The exception generated was c0000006 at
address 6FEDE40B (JetInit).
I checked the integrity of the databases (both public, private, and directory), and all that checked out ok.
When I start up the services, the System Attendent, MTA,
and directory all come up fine. It's when I start up the
information store is when the error immediately comes up.
On a side note, I was not able to run the isinteg.exe, which gives me the same error message.
Thanks for your help.
