I installed Exchange SP3 on a Windows SBS 2000 Exchange 2000 server, now inbound mail can not be recieved and internal mail can not be delivered but external mail can be sent. I believe that the server can not see the mail store of some description. Clients can see their mailboxes.
I installed Exchange SP3 as prescribed and then restarted the server. I then installed the post Exchange SP3 roll up pack and the problems began.
The event log then showed errors:

Looking at eventid.net and searching returned the following
I removed and renamed the eseperf.dll, eseperf.hxx, and eseperf.ini as prescribed and restarted the server. This did not resolve the problem.
I then did some further reading the the MS website suggest ed that I delete the registry key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ESE as this was probably holding in an open status.
I deleted the key and restarted the server with no effect.
I am now stuck and slightly worried as I can not recieve inbound mail and I believe that removing the registry key was probably not the best idea.
If anyone has come across similar problems and knows of any solutions then please let me know.
