Please can someone let me know if I'm making mistake with this design.

My domain name is 123.com My email address is user@456.com.

1. When Exchange is setup for 123.com domain will it allow the users to have the user@456.com address or must I change the domain name to 456.com?

2. When exchange setup is run and ask for organization name does it matter what this name is or must it be set to the domain name?

Thanks for any help, its been a couple of years since i did anything with exchange.

1. You need the recipient policy to have @456.com and new users will get that.
2. You can set it to anything you like.

Thanks Zelandakh.
1. Is it possible to apply this policy to existing users?

Should I edit the default recipient policy or create a new one? The active directory domain will not be used for email.

Donnie

Edit the default. That will apply to all new users.
