Exchange server MIA

We already have an Exchange 2003 server deployed, but with problems. We need to move Exchange 2003 to a new box.
I installed Exchange 2003 on a Windows server 2003 box.
Before the install I had to setup ASP.net, SMTP, DNS, etc...
The problem I am having now is the new Exchange 2003 server does not show up under "servers" in Exchange System Manager.
What should I look at to determine the cause of this?
