Hello,

Have to install a second MS Exchange 2003 Server on a remote site.
What should I pay attention to ?
Do someone let me know a link ?

thanks

Move the mailboxes that need to be on that server onto the server while it's still in the same subnet as the existing server. That way you don't lose all your VPN/WAN bandwidth copying mailboxes over later.

In other words, set up the Exchange server in your main office and ship it to the other office once it's been set up. Read up on bridgeheads and routing connectors. You won't need to do much, but it would be best that you understood those terms and know how to configure them.

First off I'd look at whether you actually need one there or if cached mode Outlook Anywhere would be a better bet.

Other than that...what he said.

I second the cached mode option. It keeps bandwidth usage low, optimizing it for remote locations.

And I third what ShackDaddy said.
