Exchange Restore

Let's say you have two Exchange sites in 2 seperate domains. There is an x400 connector between them and a trust between domains. The Exchange service accounts use domain accounts specific to their own domains.
What I want to accomplish is to get all users from the old domain to the new domain. My question is can I build a new Exchange server in the primary site and then restore the Priv to it. I would probably have to do an ISINTEG -PATCH and run the Consistancy adjuster, but other than that does anybody see any other problems?
