Ok, here's the scenario:

We have a clustered environment with 2 servers. This morning we had a fail over, reason unknown. I brought the original server back up and moved everything back to it successfully. Now 1 lousy service in IIS won't come back online. The Exchange Virtual Server is stopped and won;t come back up.

Also, the W3SVC won't start either due to the ID is already in use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

What events are logged. THis is the first place to look; your system and application logs.

Chances are that the logs will show why the failover happened which may help understand why the service won't start.

I honestly can't see anything that would tell me what caused the failover.

If someone could tell me how to fix the "Cannot start a new logon session with an ID already in use" nonsense that would go a long way.

Thanks
