Hi all,
This may be the wrong forum for this, so please point me the right way.
Theer are several products out on the market now that will archive all of the email being sent or received by an Exchange server to a SQL DB (i.e. GFI MailArchiver). This would include everything in the messages - headers, attachments and all. I want to explore the possiblity of creating my own archiving system using SQL. Does anyone have any info on this or tried it? Or am I totally out of my element and need a "real" programmer and not a hack to do the job?

Thanks much.

You can create a linked server from SQL to Exchange. This will require some heavy programming.
