Hi people, I have a query regarding Exchange logs.

I am running Exmerge once a day to backup exchange data from 1 server to another and am copying about 5 gig a day. I have noticed my exchange database growing very quickly by more than the data I am putting in.

Question: Does Exmerge create logs in the exchange database and in what quantity?

Any help would be fantastic as I am running out out disk space.

Exmerge will (I believe) lose the single instance storage feature.

-------------------------------

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!

The problem is that I am "Exmerging" oce every 24hours and there looks like a massive amount of logs, I have counted 10gb in total. Can these be deleted? I know the problem accosiated with the deletion of Exchsnge log files but need the disk space.

Any more ideas??

Exmerge doesn't back up the Exchange database. It DOES lose SIS.

Run ntbackup and backup the server to file (on another server if required). This will flush the logs and free some disk space.
