Being that I inherited the Legato system I am now working on I have a license question. We have the Networker for Exchange installed and at the end it has /11. Does this mean I can back up more than one exchange store? It is the only one listed on the server and currently I am backing up only 1 server but have a couple of other I need to back up and need to know if I need to purchase additional licenses.

To my knowledge such license is not available. If you use the License Manager you could use so-called bulk-enablers. However, a number of 11 would be odd.

That is what I thought. The Linux and Netware both have /1 after them but the Exchange module has /11. They may have bought 11 licenses when they purchased the module but I doubt it. I am going to try to throw the module on another server and see if Networker screams about licenses.

The latest version 4.02 for the module is not on their website. Does anyone have it?

The /11 at the end is only there for some historical purpose, probably representing the license type, Z11 for Exchange and Z9 for SQL (which usually has /9 at the end). It has nothing to do with the number of licenses. These licenses are only sold in 1-packs that i know of.

The 4.02 release is on the Legato website, under "Patches and updates", but why not go with 4.1, the latest release?

Thanks that makes sense.

When you click on 4.02 it is not there. Also I don't see a link for 4.1.

4.0.2 is there. You may also go directly to the FTP server where the link points to:

ftp://ftp.legato.com/pub/eval/2004Q3/nmexch402_win_x86.exe

I still could not find the 402 version but found the 41 version under 2005Q1.
