Hello,
I have Exchange 5.5 with 50ish users. I got in the AM and the disk was full and Exchange had shut down. I move log files to another disk and restarted Exchange. When Exchange restarted, I looked and found some users with HUGE mailboxes. I had them move some files to their local computer. I looked and the server had stopped again. Move the log files and restart Exchange.
While all of this had been going on, I think I put two and two together. My back ups have been failing because of corrupt e-mails. I did a bit of research and Veritas say that it is OK, if you do a restore, just those e-mails won't restore.
What I think is the Exchange logs are not flushing and filling up the harddrive.
1. Do I seem to be on the correct track?
2. Is there a quick and dirty way to flush the logs so the Exchange server will stay up long enough to get a good back up with Veritas?
I am in a pinch here.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Jamie
