Exchange and nntp

We don't use it in our organization. Do we need it running on the exchange server. Not that it takes up much room in he house but it seems it's constantly loggin in the event viewer about the pickup status and I'm done with it.
YOU HEAR? DONE WITH IT! ahem. Sorry about that.
No, really. If I'm not using it do I need the service running? I've stopped it on my ISA server with no ill effects.

You can stop NNTP service. Just DO NOT uninstall the NNTP service. Dan

por qua no mon frere? See, my french is as bad if not worse than my exchange skills. So thanks to the pointer of stopping the service but as far as uninstalling it...what ramafications am I looking at there. Not that I'ld ever do it...but just poking my head around.

Well basically never expect to run any kind of setup. I don't think you can service pack or reinstall without it.
