Here is a weird problem we are running into. Exchange runs great all week & weekend, but for some reason every Monday morning it is extremely slow especially to users with large amounts of email items.
IBM Netfinity 3000 Server 512mb RAM, PIII 650Mhz, Win2K Adv Pro (sp3), with Exch2000 server (sp3). All clients have Outlook 2000/XP and running Windows 2000/XP.
The only thing I narrowed it down to is Backups run Mon-Fri but not over the weekends. BackupExec 8.6. The backup flushes the Exchange logs. Could it be that because there are no backups running over the weekend that th logs are so big (not flushed) that they slow it down that much??? Or did it just have a rough weekend & is sluggish on Monday like all the workers.
Then Tuesday morning everything is fine.? Strange.. any suggestions??
