Exchange Agent Speed.

Hi everyone.

I've got Brightstor 11.5 and Exchange agent 11.5 (both on different servers and connected via gigabit ethernet) (it did the same on 11.1) - the backup speed of the actual server is very fast but the mailboxes only backup at about 60Mb/s.....is this normal or should I be getting a much faster outcome ??

Yes, this is normal, there must be literally hundreds of threads on this site discussing this exact question.

My config is close. The Info store (16GB) backs up in about 1/2 hour. Brick level of the IS takes roughly 2 hours. I've used ArcServe 6, 2000, and now 11.5. It has always been this way.

In general I've seen backups occur quicker for say one huge 16GB file vs. thousands of little files (say brick level) that total 16GB.
