In a lab scenerio I attempted to upgrade from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 on a DC GC server.
The Exchange 2003 install procedure ran thru forestprep, domainprep, etc. It also installed ADC. Come to find out the install reports I cant upgrade from Exchange 5.5 SP3 to Exchange 2003. So after doing some research I should have upgraded to Exchange 2000 first then 2003.
My question do I need to restore the server to get everything back and read the destructions first? I ran the Exchange 2000 install and it cant perform the upgrade either. I thinks its due to some of the Exchange 2003 components left on the server. Only thing I see in add/remove is the Exchange ADC connector.
