Exchange 5.5 Backup to Disk problem

Hi Guys,

I have a customer backing up their Exchange 5.5 using the Backup Exec Backup-to-Disk feature. However the backups keep failing with a "Inconsistency was encountered in the storage media" error. It only happens in the Verify stage of the Exchange 5.5 mailbox backups.

Has anyone seen this problem before??

Note: The Backup-to-Disk folder is a NAS device on the network (Not local to the BE media server). The backups seem to run fine when backing up directly to tape.

Any ideas?? Any help would be most appreciated & may result in a free round of beers at my local.

When did this start, did it ever work?

Also, what NAS device are you using?

This is a new install - it has never sucessfully completed.
the NAS device is an Ingrasys NAStorage 8200.
