Ok I realize Outlook 2000 isn't officially supported with Exchange 2007 but I have been using it without a problem for months... I just installed SP1 a couple of days ago and now I have several users (only those with outlook 2000) complaining that outlook hangs on close. Anyone else see this?

Not seen it myself but I guess that's one of the reasons it's unsupported. Any reason your people raced ahead with the server version but didn't go with the client version? Exchange 2007 isn't much use with Outlook's before 2007, certainly 2003 and you lose a lot of I/O benefits by having the older clients.
If I'd been designing your network I'd have said to leave well alone on the server side and spent the money giving the users nice, shiny features.

Unless of course you had an old tired mail server that needed to be upgraded anyways. Wouldn't have made much sense to go through all the work and time to aquire new hardware and then throw old software back on.

Ah yes, senile hardware. A shame that the bean counters wouldn't spring for the extra client side software but it's not exactly cheap.
