Another interesting note... I attempted the install of this, it hung, disabled all services, and on subsequent restart non of the services started, I had to reset all of them to automatic again.... Rollup officially denied in my case, and I will wait til SP1.

I used the automatic updates to install Roll up 4. It also hung for a while but it eventually finished and upon reboot everything came up fine.

I dread the day I try to install SP1. Though the hopes of having a more complete product I payed for is tempting lol.

I tried to download via Microsoft Updates and it hung way too long for me. I finally ended up downloading the update and applying it manually. The server did not require a reboot after the update was installed. I had all previous updates installed.

It is what it is!!

I tried to install this after attempting Rollup 3 (same outcome as rollup 4). Both times the application hung and disabled all services. That was after leaving it for approx 2 hrs to be on the safe side. Ran the msi in log mode and it basically said nothing in the patch installed. This was on 4 servers in 2 environments (one a fresh 2007 install, the other in existing 2003/2007 environment), all had the same issue. Have logged a call with MS.

Microsoft are still looking into this, but they told us to install the patch at the same time as installing Exchange - you load it into the updates directory. This means of course that we need to rebuild our Exchange servers which aint gonna happen too soon. They are still investigating it. Weird thing tho, even when the update crashed, it updated the store.exe file but did not copy across the OWA files so OWA stopped working until we copied all the gifs and scripts from another server we built from scratch with the update.
