Exchange 2003 upgrade to enterprise edition setup question 1

I am trying to setup exchange 2003 enterprise edition on an existing standard edition. When I run setup and select to "Reinstall" setup initialises but stops when installing with the following error:
Collaboration data ojects are in use.

Please assist

did you unmount the information store? you will need to do this for both the public and private stores and stop all exchange services before you can run the upgrade.
