We are running into a unique issue and I'm looking for any insight. We ran patches on the 7th and since then we've had issues with OWA where it stops responding.
We are using Exchange 2003 on Windows 2k server also running Symantec antivirus/antispam. I've found an article which describes a problem which is similar and explains to modify the .xml file for symantec, but that didn't resolve our issue.
Basically we start the system and shortly after, the PDA phones will no longer be able to sync (usually within a couple of minutes). We see the component listed in the Information log where it loads, initializes, unitiliazes, but never unloads. At that point, the PDA can no longer sync and eventually the routing service of IIS stops responding, therefore we no longer are able to send external mail or receive external mail w/o killing the service or rebooting the exchange server.
I'm open to any suggestions. As I said, we tried the fix that symantec listed for modifying the bmiconfig.xml file w/o resolution. No errors are actually showing up in the log.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
