We are about to migrate Exchange 2k3 from one server to another, and I would appreciate your insight or advise.
Here is the scenario:
Both of the servers are Dell Power Edge but the hardware is not identical. It's two different servers. Sure, on the new server I keep the partions similar or bigger and use the RAID 0 (OS + Exchange + Logs) + RAID 5 (Databases) config.
Old server:
W2K Server SP4 w. Exchange 2k3 Enterprise SP1
New server:
W3K Server SP1
My question:
Any tips for the migration? What way would be the preferable
way to migrate? The server is an AD member server (was a DC about 2 months ago) and runs no other network services.
