One Windows 2003 DC, one Windows 2003 member server with Exchange 2003 installed for 3 days. Installed SP2. Exchange and AD lose connectivity at least 3 times a day. I thought it was when I was editing AD but no. Connectivity to AD is lost so Exchange no longer works. After about 15 minutes connectivity is re-established and Exchange remounts. The error logs on the member server have various error messages all indicating the loss of connectivity-a lot of Event ID 2114. We don't see a performance issue. Adjusted the Boot.ini. All DNS settings seem to be OK. There are no event messages on the DC. This has got to be either something really stupidly simply or verry remote. TIA for any ideas as we really don't want to call Microsoft.

I notice this too. It seems like if I wake the computer up Exchange comes back to life. I am running Exchange and AD on a single VPC now. They were on two different VPCs and had this problem even more frequently. Now it still happens, but not as much. I don't think it's the computer falling asleep, but it's weird how moving the mouse fixes it, or at least it comes back to life at that time. Most likely a coincidence.
