We're attempting to install our first Exch2k3 server into an existing 5.5 Org. During the running of setup, when it hits the "Exchange Service" account page, it shows my 5.5 service account in the username box as domain\accountname, but the domain is grayed out (as is username). I put in the password and I get the following errro:
"The account must be valid before continuing"
The 5.5 Service account is in a seperate domain in which the 2003 server is being installed in if that means anything. I saw this KB article
But when I looked at the services on the 5.5 server I specify in the setup, they are set up to run under domain\username already?
