Background: I had Exchange Server 2003 up and running fine. My boss turned the Exchange machine into the Terminal Server for the company after that.

Problem: When I open Exchange System Manager, it gives me an error message because Terminal Server loaded MAPI32.dll Version 1.0.xxxx into the C:\Windows\System32 folder and overwrote the Exchange MAPI32.dll Version 6.0.xxx. When trying to set client permissions on public folders, I get the error message telling me that I'm using the wrong version of MAPI32.dll.

Question: Is there any way to get these two programs operating together? I have renamed the old mapi and replaced it with the exchange version and exchange functions just fine, but TS doesn't. Is it impossible to have an Exchange Server and Terminal Server operating on the same machine?

This probably won't be much help, but I have Exchange 2003 and TS running on the same machine, although I installed Terminal Services 1st and Exchange 2nd. So it is definitely possible to have both running on the same machine.

I took the MAPI32 from exchange and stuck it in the system32 folder after renaming the older mapi32. I will have to test it again to see if maybe there wasn't something wrong in my TS setup that prevented me from gaining access rather than the mapi32 file being wrong.

Your post may have helped, at least I know they can work together. That gives me something to shoot for. LOL Thanks.
