Have a Windows 2003 native domain. Exchange 5.5 SP4 server is installed on a Windows 2000 SP4 server.
Trying to install Exchange server 2003 on on a new Windows 2003 Server with the Co-Existence with 5.5 option.

The wizard prep tests run without error. Until I get to Phase 2- Step5 ADC install.
Setup launches and installs part way before it stops with an ADC install error that states:

The group name could not be found.
Facility Win32
ID no: c00708ac
Microsoft Active Directory Connector setup

Tried installing on two other 2003 servers with the same result.
I am logged into the server and with the same Domain\Enterprise Admin account I am using to run the Install.

Migration needs to happen soon as Exchange 5.5 is running on a temporary PC class machine that has no redundancy.

Help!

I have run Forest Prep and Domain Prep from the server 2003 CD, and recently from the Exchange 2003 CD. It appeared to complete sucessfully. (no errors)

If I should still extend the schema manually this way I need some help. Where do I look to find my current schema naming context.

Thanks for your help

Brent

Right you are. That is exactly what the problem is.
I have two accounts that were causing a conflict when ADC was trying to create accounts in Active Directory I looked everywhere for a KB article on this, how did you find it? You're awesome!

Thanks,
Brent
