Can anyone please give me a hand here?

I am new to Exchange 2000. The job was passed down onto me

just recently, and I started to noticed that there were

a lot of mails queued in the server. I then took a closer

look at the system and settings, found out that the routing

connectors down regularly. I checked this out by setting up

a Monitoring and Status Notifications, so whenever the

connector is down, I will get notified via e-mail. However,

I was unable to determine the cause. My OS is Windows 2K

with SP2, and Exchange is Version 6.0 [Build 6249.4, SP3].

BTW, when you look under SMTP -> Queue, should the Routing

Groups Connectors appear there all the time?? Mine was on,

and off.

Please give me some suggestions.

Thanks
