Exchange 2000 M drive reflecting C drive

I have a question about the Exchange 2000 IFS M drive. It appears the same size as my C partition with regard to free space. I have moved the message store and transaction logs to separate disks, and the system drive as well. A recent virus attack (WIN32.f@mm) filled up the queues folder which is still on C. Once C was full the MTA stopped due to less than 10MB of free space. Also, when I explore the M drive I see the MBX and Public Folders. Why does it appear that I'm limited to the space left on the C partition even though I've moved my store (and logs & system drive) to other spindles with plenty of space? Finally, shouldn't the queues folder (under vsi1) have been moved off the C partition when I moved the Exchange system drive (in the same tab as the transaction logs).

Thanks very much in advance for any insight.
