The only real problem I had with the migration from PageMaker to InDesign was the loss of the 'Paste Special' command, which allowed me to strip out the formatting from a text source and keep the formatting of my selected paragraph style.
This has now been cured, thanks to this web site:

I would urge all my fellow word-smiths to download this plug-in, it is excellent - the best thing since ready cut sun-dried tomato ciabatta. It lets you choose whether to always paste as plain text (thereby taking on the selected text style), always as styled text, or to ask you each time you paste. Brilliant!
