I have set the print area to be a large, page-sized area. When I try to print the document, it tells me "Margins do not fit page size" and then the print preview shows that each single cell has been selected to print on one page and the original print area has expanded. Ultimately, it wants to print one page of info on over 10,000 sheets!

Any ideas as to a cause??

I've tried clearing and resetting the print areas, and when I try to change margins etc., I get the "Margins do not fit page" message.

Have you checked if you have rows or columns fixed to repeat on each page? If the fixed rows (or columns) take up more space than a whole page, you can end up with the result that you are experiencing (ie Excel wanting to print on lots of pages).
