I have a macro I'd like to run each time the user updates the page field on and excel pivot chart/table.

Presently, the macro re-applies a user-defined custom chart type whenever a control on the form is clicked. I have to reapply it because some of the customization is lost each time the chart or pivot table is refreshed. I would like to run the macro automatically based on an event. Is there a good candidate? (Excel 2000)

I'm familiar with Access VBA programming but have not worked much with Excel.

You could try using the Worksheet_Change Event, which fires anytime a change to the worksheet happens. If you have Excel 2002 (Office XP) there is a more appropriate Worksheet_PivotTableUpdate event.
