Excel - strange scrolling on autofilter 1

I'm experiencing a strange problem in Excel only when I select "All" from an autofiltered column. When I scroll the sheet with the mouse-wheel the vertical scrollbar reflects movement but the cells in the sheet do not scroll!

Similarly if I use the down arrow key the cell reference changes in the "Name Box" and the vertical scrollbar again reflects movement but the cells in the sheet do not scroll!

Has anyone experienced this and is there any fix?

Your help would be much appreciated!

Freeze panes are on but turning them off doesn't completely solve my problem! Freeze panes are turned on:
a) when any item other than "All" is selected from the autofilter combobox
b) when "All" is selected from the autofilter combobox

Situation (a) scrolls properly, situation (b) does not!

It sounds lkie you have data above the freeze pane so when you filter to all you cannot go any further as the panes are frozen.

Try: Switch off auto filter, switch off freeze panes.
Then switch on auto filter and see what happens, then if it works Switch off auto filter and freeze your panes (if you really need to) before you swicth your filter back on.
