In excel 2000, I need to remove the decimal point from the amount field, but retain the decimal places, and 0 fill the field to a length of 10. The amount needs to be the absolute value For example, the amount -234.56 needs to become 0000023456.

I've tried formatting the column with 0000000000 or
0000###### but Excel then drops the decimal places and rounds. I know this is doable because I did it a few years ago with a prior version of Excel, but I haven't been able to figure it out now.

Can anyone help?

Thanks very much.

In a new column:
=TEXT(A1*100,"0000000000")
and then copy down

should do the trick
