Excel question

I have a simple question when I have excel open on my computer Windows XP and I open an outlook email with an attachment which is an excel sheet, it opens without any problem. If I have excel closed it will not open, but if I open Excel it will open immediately. Can any how help me.

probably you would need to set your default setting to excel.exe
I dont have Xp but do have win2k and my default for excel is the location where my excel resides

I would suggest play around with TOOLS-.OPTIONS AND then maybe at some place you would find some setting for your problem,

I know i didnt give you the exact solution but maybe this helps
