Hi,
I have split my display between my laptop screen and my monitor. This makes it extremely efficient for looking from one application to the other. (ex. Outlook on the laptop, Excel on the monitor.) Some applications such as Internet Explorer, Word and Outlook allow me to have multiple instances of the same application open so that I can have a Word doc on my laptop display and another Word doc on my monitor. This is really great for comparing different documents when they are "maximized".

Does anyone know how to 'split' Excel so I can see different workbooks on different displays?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Thanks for the quick replies but Window|New Window only opens a new window within the existing instance of Excel. I want to have multiple instances of Excel running so that I can put separate instances on separate displays (preferably maximized).

Arranging multiple windows within one instance of Excel requires I work from one display and I have to resize the workbooks to fit on one screen.

thanks.

Start excel and open a file, then start another instance of excel and open a differant file and you should be able to have both up at the same time.
