This is a doozey. Our network administrators have disabled the ability for users to retain certain profile elements.

Therefore my problem is that each time I launch excel, the macro security (Tools/Macro/Security), irrespective of how I change it, reverts back to "Medium" and this in turn prompts me with the "Enable/Disable Macros" dialog box each and every time I open any excel files containing macros.

I program excel/vba daily and therefore hit this annoyance regularly. None of my offers of alcoholic beverages have managed to influence their policy and hence I would be extremely grateful for any advice on how to bypass this issue, whether it be via macros/vba code or otherwise.

Cheers.
