I'm looking to produce a bar chart with which the y axis holds a count of problems logged. The x axis holds 10 Areas that my organisation covers.

For each problem that comes in, they are either resolved in time or out of time, which I have detailed as a percentage.
I want to be able to put together a chart that shows total amount of problems logged for each area, over a set period of time, then on each of the bars represent the percentage of those problems completed on time. I can't seem to find a method to do this within excel 97 to do this.

Any Ideas.

Thanks in advance

Please look at
thread68-448979

In column C you would have % rather than the value. You may need to play with it a little to get the hang of it. "A married man should forget all his mistakes. There is no point in two people remembering the same thing."

Surely all you need is a stacked bar ???
You wouldn't use percentages tho - use the actual values. So

ColA ColB ColC
Area In time Out Of Time
Area1 10 5
Area2 8 4
Area3 4 9

etc etc
just chart this and choose the 2nd option from the bar chart group Rgds
