Excel freezes up while debugging

I am working on an excel spreadsheet running a VBA program. Twice now I have had it freeze up while running then debugging errors. Closing the spreadsheet and even rebooting the computer will not bring it back. I have had to open a new spreadsheet and copy the code to a new one just to get it running again.

Any thoughts appreciated.
