Hello All

We have a Win2002 Server and workstations of Win98 & XP, everyone is running Office 2002 fully patched.
The problem is with Excel on one of the Win XP stations.

When the user opens an excel file everything works well, except when the user closes the file and/or closes Excel the file is not released on the server.
Any onther user who opens the file receives no messages but is unable to save their changes, until the first user "re-boots" their workstation (which releases the open file on the server)

Does anyone have any idea's

Have you checked the processes in the Task List to see if there is an Excel Process still open?

Peace! [peace]

Mike
